Too bad theres so many hacks out here in the Bay doing it right now, because this is the guy who I'd really like to see blow (no homo). Andre's been set to blow for so long mayne. I've heard people say that A & R folks for record labels just aren't interested in a "mob" sound, although I don't think they appreciate just how different Nicky really is. The interview over on strivin! might serve as a pretty good introduction if someone doesn't already know.
I'd love it if Dre Dog became a millionaire over night but he's like the Bay's best kept secret. Smoking pot in minivans listening to him is like a rite of passage for high school kids. Or debating if he's anything without equipto(which he is, although he was a better rapper when he was coked up all the time). Andre Nickatina doesn't get anywhere near the attention he merits but he's gotta sell more records in San Francisco than even San Quinn, making him the biggest rapper out of San Francisco. Is that too big a claim? I don't know, I don't know where to find out Soundscan or billboard.
