SFGate.com has there word of the year poll running and you'll never guess what's been nominated. Hyphy! In cased you missed this one, here's the definition:

Hyphy -- It's a style of hip-hop, born in Oakland and spread throughout the Bay Area (aka the Yay Area), that's gone national. It's also a hyperactive, wild way of acting at clubs and sideshows. This video by hyphy pioneer Keak da Sneak gives the idea.
